Overview

This policy describes the information HUB Systems Pty Ltd ("HUB", "we", "us") collects, holds, uses and discloses through the HubTV app for Android TV and Google TV.

HubTV is a fleet dashboard for HUB's business customers. It runs on a TV in a customer's despatch office and shows the live positions and status of that customer's vehicles and drivers. HubTV is not intended for use by consumers or children.

Types of information we collect

Device information. When HubTV is first set up it creates a random device identifier. This identifier is generated by the app; it is not a hardware identifier and is not linked to a Google account. HubTV also sends the name given to the TV in its settings (for example "Despatch Office TV"), the app version, and the HUB company code entered during setup.

Fleet information. HubTV displays information held in the HUB customer's despatch system: vehicle and driver names, vehicle locations, job status and related statistics. HubTV does not collect this information from the TV; it retrieves it from the customer's despatch system to display it.

HubTV does not access the TV's location, microphone, camera, contacts or files, and does not collect information about the people watching the screen.

How we collect information

• Device information is sent to HUB's servers when the TV is paired with a HUB customer account, and with each request the app makes.
• Fleet information is retrieved from HUB's servers, which relay it from the customer's despatch system.

HubTV does not use cookies, advertising identifiers or analytics services.

How we hold information

The device identifier, company code and display preferences are stored on the TV and are removed when the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared. Fleet information is held on the TV only while it is displayed.

Device information sent to HUB is held on HUB's servers in Australia. Information is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

The purposes for which we collect, hold, use and disclose information

• To pair the TV with the correct HUB customer account and let the customer approve it.
• To identify the TV in the customer's list of devices.
• To display the customer's fleet information on the TV.
• To provide support and maintain the service.

Disclosure

We do not sell information or share it for advertising.

• Device information is visible to the HUB customer the TV is paired with.
• HubTV uses the Google Maps SDK to display the map. Google receives map requests from the TV and processes them under Google's Privacy Policy.
• Our hosting and internet service providers handle information on our behalf.

Access and correction

You may ask for access to, or correction or deletion of, information we hold about you by contacting us. Information about drivers and vehicles shown in HubTV is controlled by the HUB customer that operates the despatch system; requests about it may be referred to that customer.
